The morning of March 31st 2016 found us entering Audain Hall on the UBC campus, heading for the carving studio. Chief Beau Dick's hospitality and generosity welcomed us. During the long conversation engendered between Jim Thomas and Beau Dick many topics came up. Beau talked about the changes in how nature is regarded, how it is labeled Resources, as though Nature is exclusively commercial with no shreds of spirit, personality or inherent worth. One story after another about coppers, their importance, both mythical and political. Laughter, it was agreed, was the doctor, the therapist and universal medicine. The video here below was the story of Raven's bad morning, told us by Beau.
